Batyrkhan Toleugali Secures Kazakhstan’s Second Gold Medal in Lahore

Kazakhstan’s national team has claimed another gold medal at the World Taekwondo President’s Cup – Asian Region, currently taking place in Lahore, Pakistan.

Batyrkhan Toleugali emerged victorious in the tournament. On his way to the final, the Kazakh taekwondo athlete defeated opponents from South Korea, Thailand and Uzbekistan to book his place in the title bout.

In the decisive final, Toleugali overcame Uzbekistan’s Yodgorbek Djuraboev to take the top step of the podium and secure the gold medal.

Following Nazym Makhmutova’s earlier triumph, Batyrkhan Toleugali’s victory gives Kazakhstan its second gold medal of the tournament.
