Aktobe to Host Kazakhstan U21 Taekwondo (WT) Championships

The Kazakhstan Taekwondo (WT) Championships for athletes under the age of 21 will be held in Aktobe on 4–5 September.

A total of 227 athletes from all regions of Kazakhstan will compete at the national championships, which will take place at the Zhekpe-Zhek Sports Complex. The young taekwondo athletes will battle for medals across their respective weight categories.

It is worth noting that the Kazakhstan U21 Championships are being held for the second time this year. Athletes selected based on the results of last year’s national championships went on to achieve strong results at the World Championships in Kenya, winning two gold and one bronze medal.

Batyrkhan Toleugali and Beibarys Kablan were crowned World champions, while Tamerlan Tleules claimed the bronze medal.

The competition will be streamed live on the Kazakhstan Taekwondo Federation’s YouTube channel.
